“Stanhope is the master stylist's last name - his first name is Derek. I was referred to Derek by a close friend last year and since having my hair cut by him I can't go anywhere else. He's totally nuts - says outlandish things but all the while he's listening to what you want and doing magic with your hair. He doesn't do colour personally but he does have some very talented colourists on staff. I keep trying to get him to build a website but he says he doesn't need one - he's connected. Old school! He's from Guysborough and his biggest fears are cancer and bankruptcy. He's the life of the place - hence the name.”
